Andrea began her career as a commercial artist, studing graphic design and illustration. In 1979, she moved from Cincinnati, Ohio to Northern California and a new world of opportunity and experience opened. She spent 12 years working in signage, murals and large scale trade show design before opening her own business as a faux finisher.
Her fine art continued to develop, exploring a variety of styles and mediums including watercolor,acrylic,printmaking and sculpture. Andrea enjoys painting a wide range of subject matter including portraiture, wildlife, landscape and abstraction.
Her current medium of choice is oil on canvas; large scale work with an impressionist feel. Color is an important aspect of her work, often using a limited pallet to create a specific emotional atmosphere. Her work can be found in the corporate collections of Nordstrom, Macy's of California, Apple Computer, Johnson and Johnson Co. and private collections nationally.
In 2001, Andrea returned to the Midwest and became inspired by the landscape and wildlife subject matter native to the Ohio River Valley. Now living and painting in Rising Sun, Indiana where she continues to be inspired by the natural beauty.
